DevOps Engineer – Platform Team
AI-powered Compliance Technology
ABOUT THE COMPANY
A growing technology company on a mission to automate complex compliance workflows through AI. Their platform brings onboarding, monitoring and investigations together, combining configurable workflows with AI agents to help regulated businesses operate at scale.
By reducing manual checks and connecting fragmented processes, we help Product, Operations and Compliance teams move together with the control they need to grow.
They serve financial institutions and regulated businesses across international markets.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Platform team and help us scale infrastructure, CI/CD and observability across our growing backend ecosystem.
You will work alongside senior platform engineers on a Kubernetes-native stack, taking ownership of real infrastructure early on. You will learn by building in a modern, opinionated environment, running production infrastructure for financial institutions.
We are looking for someone who is curious about how systems work, comfortable being new to things and eager to grow quickly in a high-bar environment.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Infrastructure as Code: Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform/Terragrunt, starting with well-scoped modules and growing into larger architectural work.
Kubernetes Operations: Support EKS clusters and a rapidly growing microservices environment (NestJS backend), handling deployments, troubleshooting and day-to-day cluster health.
CI/CD Pipelines: Build and improve pipelines with GitHub Actions in a trunk-based development environment, keeping deployments safe and fast.
GitOps: Work with ArgoCD-driven workflows and learn to own them end to end.
Observability: Contribute to monitoring, alerting and dashboards, helping catch problems before customers do.
Collaboration: Work closely with backend engineers and security stakeholders, applying cloud security best practices with AWS-native tooling.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Scale-up Mindset: You thrive in fast-moving environments and prefer building systems over following manuals.
High-Agency Learner: You dig into unfamiliar problems instead of waiting to be shown. You ask good questions and apply what you learn.
Foundations: 3–5 years in DevOps, SRE, Platform or backend engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience. A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Cloud & Containers: Working knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes. You do not need to be an expert yet, but should be comfortable navigating both and understand what is happening underneath.
Automation Instinct: Hands-on experience with Terraform or another IaC tool, and a preference for scripting something over doing it twice by hand.
CI/CD Familiarity: Experience working with pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions, and an understanding of why deployment safety matters.
Scripting & Systems: Comfortable with Linux, Git and at least one scripting language (Bash, Python or similar).
Communication: You can explain what broke and why to an engineer who was not there.
OUR TECH INTERESTS
Cloud & Orchestration: AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Helm
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Terragrunt
CI/CD & GitOps: GitHub/GitLab, ArgoCD
Observability: Datadog
